Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. This means if you click and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Two kinds of recommendation appear on this site, and I always say which is which. Most of it is kit I've actually walked in — that's the whole point of the site, and those write-ups come from real days out. Some product picks are based on reviews and what other walkers report rather than my own feet, usually because I haven't owned that particular pair. Where that's the case it's labelled on the page. I'd rather tell you than let you assume.

Affiliate relationships don't influence what I write. If something wasn't good on the trail, I'll say so.

Current affiliate partnerships include Cotswold Outdoor, Amazon, and Booking.com.
